Preamble

We, The Barryton Church of God, INC. Barryton, Michigan, hereby establish these corporation bylaws for the proper handling of corporation and ecclesiastical matters as we invite people to become who God created them to be to the glory and honor of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit

Article 1 - Name

1.1 The name of the organization is Barryton Church of God, INC. Barryton, Michigan, voluntarily affiliated with Church of God Ministries, which has headquarters in Anderson, Indiana; and with the Church of God in Michigan, which has offices in Lansing, Michigan

1.2 The post office address of the principle office is 20244 30th Ave. Barryton, Michigan 49305

Article 2 - purpose

2.1 Barryton Church of God exists to invite you to become who God created you to be. We believe that everyone was created with a purpose. (Jeremiah 1, Psalms 139). At the same time, we are all created to be in healthy relationships with God, self, others, and the rest of creation.

2.2 Statement of faith. The Barryton Church of God accepts the Bible as its authority in matters of faith and practice. All Elders, Officers, and Staff of the Barryton Church of God shall subscribe to a written statement of Faith adopted by the Elders from time to time, which is consistent with Evangelical Christianity.

2.3 The mission of the Barryton Church of God is to be a safe place for all people to worship in harmony.
